Alaska Sealife Center

Seward,
 Alaska

The natural beauty of zinc cladding materials harmonize gracefully to enhance and accentuate the other natural textures of the building materials and the site.

Given the facilities’ immediate proximity to the ocean,
and the guarantee of perpetual exposure to air borne salt spray, considerations of maintenance for the building exterior
became an early design topic.

Zinc cladding, with its proven record of performance
dating back hundreds of years,
became the natural favorite.
