Project Profiles

Project: GHX-2 Compressor Station
Prudhoe Bay, Alaska

Since the early 1980’s, EMCO has a been involved with every major Sealift to Alaska’s North Slope. Designers at the Ralph M. Parsons Company, Pasadena, California, know what it takes to achieve the level of protection required in the frigid arctic.

Recognizing performance, reliability and value, Parsons has consistently selected factory insulated metal panels for its most demanding projects. For a proven subcontractor/supplier team, the combination of EMCO and Aluma Shield is a tough act to follow.

EMCO has successfully employed the Aluma Shield panel system in a wide variety of projects - ranging from the frigid, arctic tundra (both in Alaska and Siberia) to the extremes of California’s Mojave Desert. Panels are available in a range of styles and insulation values from R=11 to R=50, and are well suited to environmentally and temperature controlled facilities and low-temperature warehousing.
