Project Profiles

Bank of America
Stanford, California

Completed in April of 1997, this project represents a complete reconstruction of one of Bank of America's most popular offices located in the Stanford Shopping Center, adjacent to the Stanford University campus.

The project design strikes a contemporary balance between traditional stone materials and the influnce of a high tech metal panel system favored on many of the newer technology companies centered around Palo Alto.

A number of materials were reviewed before the final selection of BHP's architectural Prestiege Series wall system.

The building occupies a highly visible location within the Stanford Shopping Center and it was critical that the smooth finish of the metal wall panel system maintain a near perfect uniformity throughout the building circumference.

Working together, EMCO and BHP developed a durable and cost effective alternative to the composite aluminum systems initially considered for the project.
