Project Profiles

Toyota Airflite FBO
Long Beach Airport, California

Completed in the 1992, the Toyota Airflite Building has received numerous design awards for its striking blend of aluminum, metal and glass curtainwall design. The Toyota project was selected by E.G. Smith as the cover photograph for its 1994 catalogue of building products.

This project represents the striking visual effects possible when the flat Foamwall insulated metal wall panel, produced in a series of unique widths, is combined with the grace of a concave and convex wall design. The symmetry of design results directly from EMCO’s close cooperation with the designer, in identifying the exact module of the various panels, together with the manufacturing flexibility of E.G. Smith.
